Season 2 Finale Is the Anticlimactic Ending Another Beginning?

The most definitive aspect of Wayward Pines' second finale is that it is far from final. Instead, it's a bellowing bid for another ten episodes. There are interesting aspects to "Bedtime Story," but in the final analysis it's challenging to see the meaning behind it all. The plot barely advances, we learn nothing new, and nothing is resolved. Not even one of our cool guesses was employed. But then, you take a couple of hours and watch it again ... and begin to see what alluded you the first time. O... more

Who Decides Who Lives and Who Dies?

Wayward Pines' penultimate episode slaps us with a mother of a twist (pun intended) while simultaneously promising forward a denouement that is more psychological than slasher. Earlier on this season this didn't appear to be the case. However, with the Abbies swarming, the food diminishing, and disease looming, not a single monster Abbie attack takes place in "Walcott Prep." What Walcott Prep does give us are flashbacks explaining Jason's birth, details about Kerry's backstory, and a showdown much ... more

Walcott Prep

OMG. Kerry is Jason's mother?!? Ewww. Thank goodness they couldn't reproduce.  Seriously guys, that reveal on Wayward Pines Season 2 Episode 9 was something I never saw coming.  I wondered if anyone from Wayward Pines Season 1 would make it out of this season alive. It looks like Adam will be the sole survivor.  Of course there's no guarantee of that, but I don't expect to see him again.  Theo used his power of manipulation on Kerry to try and... more

Night Shyamalan-produced series was met with high praise, but saw a slight decline in season 2. FOX Entertainment president David Madden addressed the show's future at the Television Critics Association. Find out what the network had to say about the show's fate below. 3 Possible Interpretations for What Happened in the 'Wayward Pines' Season 2 Finale

Wayward Pines went in a completely different direction with their season 2 finale than they did with their first. Did they go too deep this time, or not deep enough? Did what we saw in the final scene make any sense? Better yet, what in the hell even  happened? If you had an overwhelming sense of underwhelm when the final credits rolled, you were not alone, fellow WP viewer.  Instead of a cliffy shocker with blood splashing across the camera lens, we got ano... more

'Wayward Pines': Who Is Most Likely to Get Killed off Next?

Was I the only one stunned (though gleefully) when Wayward Pines' psychomaniaical hypnotherapist, Meghan "Babies-Having-Babies-Is-Beautiful" Fisher, was killed off so soon? Meghan is, bar none, the biggest villain of season 2. I fully expected her to make it all the way to the finale like Pilcher did in season 1. Of course, then she'd get a fabulously gruesome ending. But, alas, that was not to be. Thank you, Wayward Pines.  You have to give Shyamalan his props fo... more
