Newton Purcell

It's always fun when Red breaks out one of his secret weapons. After Glen screwed up, Raymond had little choice but to let the little guy attempt to correct his mistake on The Blacklist Season 7 Episode 13. And you'll never listen to "Eye of the Tiger" the same way again. This was, really, kind of, a turn of events. Usually, Red is coming to Glen for help, often when Glen isn't inclined to assist him because of some odd personal reason or activity. more

Raymond can sure cram a lot into a weekend, can't he? What should have been a bracing getaway topped by profit went downhill fast for him on The Blacklist Season 7 Episode 12. This episode was originally set to air last week after The Blacklist Season 7 Episode 11, in which Raymond reclaimed the original nesting caskets from art forger Victoria Feinberg.  That would have been a rare double episode that made sense, instead of sticking two together just to get... more

This was more of Elizabeth and Raymond lying to each other about Katarina. This happened around a nifty art-theft caper on The Blacklist Season 7 Episode 11. What a timely episode with the OxyContin-peddling Sackler family and their love of art so regularly in the news. Imagine what would happen if one of those family members went rogue as Victoria did here! This was a breather episode after the temporary climax of the Katarina Rostova storyline on ... more

'The Blacklist' Creator on Season 7 as 'Small Family Drama,' Emotional Big Bad

Mommie Dearest is officially back in the picture. The second installment of “The Blacklist’s” two-part season opener, “Louis T. Steinhil (No. 27): Conclusion,” was rife with cliffhangers and new characters on whom to keep an eye as the seventh season progresses — most notably one Katarina Rostova (Laila Robins). The season’s big bad, who kidnapped Red (James Spader) in the Season 6 finale, moved in next door to an unknowing Liz (Meghan Boone) in what can only b... more

The Blacklist Recap: A Rostova Family Reunion - Plus, Liz Meets [Spoiler]

Last we saw The Blacklist’s Raymond Reddington, he was tied to a chain-link fence in a dark warehouse, quickly losing blood while Katarina Rostova watched. At the start of Friday’s episode, though… well, actually, nothing has changed. (Except for the fact that Red now has 20 percent less blood in his body.) On the NBC drama’s latest hour, Katarina continues to torture Red, in the hopes of getting more information about who’s hunting her. She weeps to Re... more

'The Blacklist' Bosses on Red's Fate After the Season 6 Finale

It’s nary that a week goes by without NBC’s “The Blacklist” doling out a high-stakes situation. This sixth season alone James Spader’s Raymond Reddington faced a surprise jail twist, a capital punishment trial in which he defended himself, an attempted prison escape and a last-minute stay from the president just as he was about to face execution. So it came as no surprise in “Robert Diaz,” the sixth season finale, when the Task Force, led by Liz (Megan Boone) attempted to stop a presidential assassination that t... more
