    The Long Distance Dissonance

    Whoa.

I don't think any of us saw that coming, at least not until those last few moments.

On The Big Bang Theory Season 10 Episode 24, another woman makes a move on Sheldon while Amy is away, and when she does, Sheldon's reaction is to go see his girlfriend immediately – and to propose.

This goes down as one of my favorite moments on The Big Bang Theory ever.

Throughout The Big Bang Theory Season 10, we've seen Sheldon working on himself and his relationship with Amy.

Much of the focus has been on his growth, so to have the season culminate in this proposal is the perfect way to end it.

For Sheldon and Amy to start living together was a major step in the first place, and even having Sheldon move away from his apartment and adjust to living someplace new is significant for him.

Then to have Amy go away for three months only shortly after he's made that move forces him to learn ev...

Sheldon's about to be on his own for the first time.

On The Big Bang Theory Season 10 Episode 23, he has to come to terms with the fact that Amy is taking a research fellowship position at Princeton, which means they'll be apart for the summer.

Logically, Sheldon knows she should take the position and that it's a great opportunity, but he has trouble dealing with the fact that she's leaving him, even if it is just temporarily.

The fact is that Sheldon has always been dependent on someone.

Before Amy, we were used to seeing how much he relied on Leonard on a day-to-day basis. By the time Sheldon and Amy moved in together, she had already become incredibly used to helping fill that role.

Now, with her leaving for a few months, Sheldon will have an apartment entirely to himself – the very thing he was concerned about when Penny and Leonard first got married.

It's a chance for him not only to figure out ho...

    The Cognition Regeneration

On The Big Bang Theory Season 10 Episode 22 Sheldon tries to expand his mind when he worries it's reached its peak, and Penny is offered a job by her ex-boyfriend, Zack.

Naturally, Leonard isn't thrilled about Penny's job offer.

I continue to struggle with the way Leonard and Penny's relationship is going. While yes, there needs to be conflict at times, I'm exhausted by the fact that that's primarily what we see with these two.

Leonard's concern over Penny wanting to take a job offered by Zack is valid, and the two talk through it without it being a major issue. Actually, the way they handle it is pretty mature.

But wouldn't a better compromise be for Penny to start looking for other jobs if she doesn't like her current one?

It is fun to see Zack again, and the resolution to this whole thing is perfect. Zack's fiancee doesn't want him to hire his ex-girlfriend, so the job is off the table.

    Well, go f...

Howard and Bernadette's baby is one of the best things to happen to The Big Bang Theory in a long time.

On The Big Bang Theory Season 10 Episode 21 they (along with Stuart, of course) struggle with taking Halley to daycare, and Bernadette feels especially guilty for going back to work.

It's funny the way they all handle it.

A trip to the zoo that makes Bernadette overly emotional, Howard and Stuart getting Halley out of daycare on her first day so they can take her to the aquarium, and Bernadette getting upset when Halley is the only one who isn't crying over the change.

But it's also important and real.

From the beginning of the pregnancy, Bernadette has struggled with the balance of wanting to be a mother and wanting to continue being successful in her career.

This is just another one of those hurdles. and I think it goes a long way in showing that those feelings?

They're normal. It's nice to se...

Believe it or not, even someone like Sheldon Cooper can work himself too hard.

On The Big Bang Theory Season 10 Episode 20, Sheldon tries to work on his project with Leonard and Wolowitz while also working with Amy, and he pushes himself to his breaking point.

Sure, it seems like Sheldon has a handle on it to begin with.

He bounces back and forth between each project, always showing up just in time to solve a problem. He even has a special backpack filled with water and lentil soup.

This the kind of challenge that Sheldon lives for, and in fact, I think he spent more time developing the plan to do so and putting together that backpack than he did actually helping with either project.

    But hey, details.

There's one thing he doesn't consider with his plan, and that's how it will affect his immune system. It doesn't take long at all for him to get sick, and that's when things take a turn.

    The Collaboration Fluctuation

Ok, raise your hand if The Turtles "Happy Together" is stuck in your head right now.

If you're not raising your hand after watching The Big Bang Theory Season 10 Episode 19, I'm going to assume you're lying.

We basically had two separate stories going, and for once, both were pretty equally funny.

Sheldon and Amy have never been the most conventional couple. How could they be? For one, that'd be crazy boring, but besides that, they're just completely the opposite of conventional.

We've seen them make strides in their relationship, but we've never really seen them work together professionally.

As a physicist, Sheldon has never thought too highly of Amy's biology background, and while they are both scientists, they've never really had a reason to collaborate before.

    Until now.

It all started with Sheldon telling Amy about his work, redacting the classified portions with well timed honks of her...

    The Conjugal Conjecture

The Big Bang Theory is back with a season premiere that's funny, endearing, and not quite long enough.

If you've been reading my reviews, you know by now that I had high hopes for another wedding ceremony for Leonard and Penny.

The ceremony we get on The Big Bang Theory Season 10 Episode 1 is definitely personal for Leonard and Penny. I just wish we could have spent more time with it.

Otherwise, though, if this episode is any indication of what The Big Bang Theory Season 10 will be like, then I think we're in for something wonderful.

Penny's family is a fun touch, specifically with Jack McBrayer as her brother, Kenneth Randall.

He's definitely not what we would expect after hearing about Penny's troubled brother, but the light-hearted spin on that character is a joy to watch. It also...

    The Military Miniaturization

Sheldon and Penny both have a problem with saying things they shouldn't, but on The Big Bang Theory Season 10 Episode 2, their actions have very real consequences.

Penny spills a secret on accident, and Sheldon makes a ridiculous agreement when he's not supposed to say anything at all.

Penny letting the news about Bernadette's pregnancy slip at work is an accident. A careless one, but it's an accident nonetheless. Still, Bernadette is furious.

Bernadette's pregnancy brings up a very real issue about women in the workplace. She's been keeping her pregnancy a secret because she's afraid that the news would keep her from getting to be a part of an upcoming research project.

I have to say, I appreciate the fact they're dealing with this idea. Regardless of the type of work, pregnancy can make things complicated when it comes to having a career, and I'm glad to see Bernadette dealing with those very real challenges.

    The Dependence Transcendence

While both Sheldon and Bernadette manage to admit their weaknesses, Penny learns that Amy is the most popular girl in school.

    For real.

On The Big Bang Theory Season 10 Episode 3, Sheldon, Howard, and Leonard are under pressure to get their project done in a ridiculous amount of time, and that pressure is taking a toll.

Sheldon can't handle working the late nights necessary to get it done. After all, this is a guy who has a detailed bathroom schedule. Bed time is important. He finally falls asleep in front of the drink machine, where he dreams of seeing The Flash.

Apparently, The Flash gets his super speed from drinking energy drinks. Who knew?

I'm actually disappointed we don't get to enjoy more of caffeinated Sheldon. It's pretty hilarious, but it doesn't last long, and it still doesn't beat drunk Sheldon.

What's most significant about all of this is that a sleepy Sheldon, after he's come down from the c...

We never thought this day would come!

Sheldon and Amy take another big step forward in their relationship on The Big Bang Theory Season 10 Episode 4, and it's about damn time.

Sure, it's only temporary, but it wouldn't be fitting if moving in together wasn't still something Sheldon and Amy took slowly. Baby steps, you guys. Baby steps.

It's really the perfect way to handle it. Amy's in need of a place to stay after a pipe in her apartment bursts, and it makes perfect sense for her to stay with Sheldon. Penny's suggestion is that Amy stay in Sheldon's apartment and let Leonard stay in Penny's, but Sheldon is hesitant.

To be fair, Amy's kind of hesitant, too.

She convinces him to give it a try (it would be a five-week arrangement) by appealing to his love for science.

Amy: Sheldon I understand your apprehension, but let me appeal to the scientist in you. Given the five week end...
