  • Season 13 Finale Who Does Rachel Choose?

Season 13 Finale Who Does Rachel Choose? After three months of race baiting and fake apologies (all from Lee), the time has finally come for Rachel Lindsay to choose her future husband and bring season 13 of The Bachelorette to its dramatic, rose-filled conclusion.
It's been quite the journey for our first female protagonist of color, from being dumped by Nick Viall and greeting a few potential mates After the Final Rose to whittling down a gaggle of 31 that included the possible intentional casting of an actual racist to compete for her heart. Now only two gents and Bryan remain.

    Surveying the Field

First, there's dancin' Eric, the Baltimore native from humble beginnings who rose above life on the streets. He battled early nerves and man-gossip to outlast expectations, but it wasn't until America met his family that he became a contender.

We expected the worst -- thanks to a low bar set by Eric himself when he confessed that his mother never showed affection -- but all the sudde...

  • Who Does Rachel's Family Like Best?

Who Does Rachel's Family Like Best? It's "show me the love" time on The Bachelorette, as Rachel prepares to take her final three to the fantasy suite. And, yes, that means one of fancy-socked Wisconsinite Peter, backbreaking bad boy Bryan and dancin' Eric is two short weeks away from publicly announcing he is the betrothed future Mr. Lindsay.
Rachel thinned the field in predictable fashion last time, deciding that even if Dean wasn't the guy she wanted to sleep with the least, there was no need to risk creating a new scar with all those old ones his dad hides under his turban. Plus, there's the added bonus of keeping a man of color around another week.

Eric's family was a pleasant surprise that contrasted the description of his childhood, but I'm still banking on an id-versus-ego Bryan/Peter finale. Sure, they'll make it seem like the fellow gap-toother is uncertain and that Rachel's relationship with Eric is hitting new highs, but the writing is on the wall.

    I don't know if she'll follo...

    Hola, Fantasy Suites

There's no date like a fantasy suite date.

But first (Julie Chen voice), it was time for Peter, Eric and Bryan to meet Rachel's family on The Bachelorette Season 13 Episode 9.

Before Peter goes to Rachel's house, he *finally* tells Rachel that he loves her. Rachel kind of said it back (there's a big difference between "I love you" and "I'm finally in love with you" on this show apparently).

I still think it's a mistake to drop any L-bombs if you're the lead. They should make all future Bachelors and Bachelorettes watch Ben Higgins' season to learn why.

Rachel's dad wasn't at her hometown date with Nick last season, and isn't on this episode either. I have a feeling he doesn't approve of his daughter's reality TV career.

I hope this doesn't mean we won't get a televised wedding (start trying to convince Rachel's dad to be comfortable on camera now, Chris Harrison).

Peter tells Rachel's family about his parents...

[Video] Preview: Peter Admits He's Not a Fan of Bryan

With three guys left on The Bachelorette season 13, the competition for Rachel Lindsay's heart is stiffer than ever and so is the tension between her suitors. On Monday's episode, Bryan's watch becomes a topic of conversation-- which seems to have a big impact on Peter.

"Is this the matching watch?" Peter asked just before Bryan and Rachel were about to leave for their date.

In case you missed it, Rachel unexpectedly bought Bryan a luxury Swiss watch during their date in week seven in Geneva. "I'm getting this for you," said Rachel, who also got a watch for herself.

Eric doesn't seem to have any issue with Bryan but the symbolism of the watch is not lost on him.

"That's a nice watch, I am not mad at you, brother," Eric said to the cameras. "Do your thing. If she didn't wear the watch and he had his, it wouldn't mean anything. But she wore the watch. See what I'm saying?"

Unfortunately, the watch only gives Peter another reason to dislike his ri...

  • Is Dean's Family Too Much for Rachel?

Is Dean's Family Too Much for Rachel? And then there were four.
Rachel Lindsay is down to three gents and Bryan in her quest for love in season 13 of The Bachelorette, and it's time for the cross-country whirlwind that is the hometown dates. But before she can send Dean packing, she's got a whole bunch of parents to meet.

Eliminations have been easy to predict since the mass exodus from halfway through the season that saw Rachel's field of potential suitors cut in half from 12 to six. Penguin Matt and dummy Adam were the obvious choices, mostly because even the whaboom guy got more screen time than both of them combined.

They half fooled us into thinking Adam might have a shot, but there was no chance a man of color wasn't making the final four (and, for that matter, the final three).

Dean is the pick for a number of reasons. He's the youngest, and his tendency to deflect tough questions with silly jokes shows his immaturity. The tragic loss of his mother and the family fracture that ensued ...

    Meet The Parents

It's time for Rachel to meet her future in-laws.

The Bachelorette Season 13 Episode 8 focused on the final four - Eric, Peter, Bryan, and Dean – and Rachel meeting their families.

The first hometown date brings Rachel to Baltimore, Maryland to meet Eric's family. She runs into his arms in classic Bachelor-fashion, and I can only assume she will be exhausted from all of the traveling and jumping into various men's arms by the end of the episode.

Eric shows her around the city and brings her to play basketball at the local park.

If I was Rachel, I would send Eric home just because he forced me to play basketball in heels.

He opens up to Rachel about his friends and family getting involved in the streets of Baltimore, and how that shaped him as a person and a man.

Eric is super likable and fun to watch on the show, and even though I'm fairly confident he doesn't belong with Rachel, I think he's a decent guy and...

  • Who is Taking Rachel on a Hometown Date?

Who is Taking Rachel on a Hometown Date? I miss one episode -- one episode -- of The Bachelorette because of a show conflict, and all hell breaks loose. Toss in a week off to celebrate America's birthday, and I can barely remember what's going on with Rachel's quest for love in season 13.
Not only did she drop croon me a racist Lee like a bag of hot trash, but she literally cut the field of potential Mr. Lindsays in half, including both of my pre-season favorites.

    Bye, Felicia

Josiah with the intense backstory and very serious understander Anthony (who somberly accepted her decision) weren't surprising, nor was Pretty Boy Pitbull Kenny after it became clear he was more interested in telling short-stack Lee that Jeebus doesn't love him.

I was excited for favorite Will Urkel's one-on-one date, but he screwed the pooch with his answer to Rachel's question regarding his dating history. The dude basically responded, "Lots of sex with white girls." On a first date. When asked to ...

    And Then There Were Four

It's almost time to meet the parents.

The Bachelorette Season 13 Episode 7 brought Rachel and her remaining contestants – Bryan, Dean, Peter, Eric, Adam and Matt – to Switzerland for the last round of dates before hometowns.

Rachel is casually sitting on a bench in Geneva thinking about her six boyfriends. (She can't be thinking too hard though because we know Peter, Dean, Eric, and Bryan HAVE to be the top four).

  • Does the Kenny-Lee Drama Affect Rachel's Decision?

Does the Kenny-Lee Drama Affect Rachel's Decision? For the second time in a week, The Bachelorette continues the adventures in Norway and even heads to Copenhagen to keep the journey alive in the cold. The two-on-one wraps up (thankfully), as Rachel uses her lawyering skills to decipher who's telling the truth, and the boys take each other on in a sword and shield fight during one of the more fun group dates. Oh, and there's dozens of Viking-related puns.
    Resolution to the Two-on-One
The second of the two parts picks right back up on the most awkward pissing contest date ever. Lee lied, Rachel didn't believe him and Kenny is pacing around like an insane person. Rachel winds up sending Lee home, but that's just not good enough for Kenny, apparently.
He makes a scene, cursing like he's getting exorcised. He gets deep in his feelings for Lee, telling the "short-stack" that even Jesus doesn't love him. If I wasn't so horrified to watch two grown men act this way on national TV, I might've had a bit of a chuck...

    Kenny Vs Lee

Rachel Lindsay was not afraid to send any of her boyfriends home this week on The Bachelorette.

But first, The Bachelorette Season 13 Episode 6 wasted no time getting back into Kenny and Lee's feud.

Lee continues to be a pathological liar, and I continue to be confused by his hairstyle. (HOW and WHY is his part so far to the side?!)

And also confused by how he made it this far in the show.

But have no fear, justice was served when Rachel made the right decision and sent Lee home.

I don't trust you, and because of that I'm going to send you home.
