    Falling

Adora's disdain for Camille saved her life.

On Sharp Objects Season 1 Episode 7 it's revealed what has been going on in the Crellin house, and the lady in white has a lot to do with it.

While Richard tears apart Wind Gap looking for answers to save the mysterious woman for who he's fallen, Camille finds an odd solace in the arms of the man the town thinks murdered his sister and her friend. It's not that easy in Wind Gap.

Once upon a time, there were stories all over the place about Munchausen by Proxy. Now it's not even called that anymore. It's called Factitious disorder imposed on another (FDIA). Maybe Munchausen was too cute of a name.

Whether that's the end of the road for the series when Sharp Objects Season 1 Episode 8 airs we'll soon find out, but it all adds up when it comes to the nightmare that is Adora Crellin.

It's not safe here for you.

That's what Camille was told by the figment of her imagination that came to her in the form of her deceased sister Marian at the close of Sharp Objects Season 1 Episode 6.

While it's fair to assume that a lot of what Camille is going through is linked to the scars from the past she's trying to conceal, I think her best bet would be to get the heck out of Wind Gap and take Amma with her.

Amma reeling Camille in and taking at a teenage house party was very awkward, but it put Camille in a mindset in which she got to have fun with her sister.

I'm not condoning the drug taking by any means, but "Cherry" gave us more insight into this fraught relationship, and it was needed. Camille has issues with letting people into her life because of the past, and that extends to her family.

The two sisters drunkenly spinning around while holding one showed Camille replacing the ...

What do you get when you bring everyone together for Calhoun Day?

    A whole lot of information!

Calhoun Day arrived on Sharp Objects Season 1 Episode 5, and it was the this limited series' finest hour. Having everyone together in one place showed how the small town operates.

There was no way the shopping trip was going to result in some mother-daughter bonding. Adora knew everyone was talking about Camille being a bigshot reporter and did not want to give anyone else anything to talk about.

What it confirmed was that there's no hope for them to bond. Amma was mad about the article, so I can see why she was acting out, but Adora should know not to persist with Camille.

Adora is a real piece of work.

On Sharp Objects Season 1 Episode 4 the layers were peeled back once again, and we got to see just how wicked she can be.

She's been cold and distant towards Camille since her return to Wind Gap on Sharp Objects Season 1 Episode 1, but I never stopped to think about what it was like for Alan, her husband, who has been there throughout everything.

Alan is a man of few words, and the issue with a character like that is that they might as well be part of the furniture because they are one-note and nothing really changes with them.

But the time came on "Ripe" for Alan to stand up to his wife, and it was clear it was a long time coming.

We've barely scratched the surface with Camille's flashes to the past of what Adora was like after Marian's death, but what we do know is that everything always seems to go back to her and how she lost her daughter.

Camille needs to confront the past so she can move on with her life.

Sharp Objects Season 1 Episode 3 was such an information dump that it was difficult to keep up with everything.

The whole treatment facility storyline made for a harrowing watch.

Well, we're not entirely sure it was a figment of Camille's imagination as a means to try and come to terms with everything that's going on or if we were watching what happened to her in there.

The beauty of this show is that it's a trip like no other. Rather than witnessing how Camille reacts to her past, we see it play out in front of our very eyes.

It further backs up the fact that she had a horrifying upbringing in Wind Gap, and as a result, she's self-medicating with alcohol and mutilating herself.

What the heck is going on in Wind Gap?

It was Natalie's funeral on Sharp Objects Season 1 Episode 2, and that meant the town stood together, but it also gave both Camille and Richard the perfect opportunity to do some digging into who could be a suspect.

The most interesting part of this show is the mission to find out why Adora is as cold as ice towards Camille.

Even in the past, Camille's sister got all the attention, and it looks like history is repeating with Amma.

Favoritism from a parent towards certain siblings does not make for a healthy home life.

With that said, we don't know the true extent of what Camille went through in her younger years.

There was a scene that seemingly confirmed Adora knew all about Camille cutting herself in the past.

Did you notice all of the knives were rounded up after one glance from Adora in the kitchen?

For some people, returning home after years away is a dream come true. But for Camille Preaker, it's a real nightmare.

The exposition-heavy Sharp Objects Season 1 Episode 1 threw us right into the deep end, and it was a successful attempt to show the torment Camille puts herself through because she just can't seem to shake the past.

Through one episode she is already one of the most vivid and memorable characters on the TV landscape, and that's all thanks to the flashes to the past and showing off her flaws as she tries to follow leads on a case she never wanted to take on in the first place.

In her meeting with Curry, it was evident returning to Wind Gap would be a huge step back for her. When you have a mother as overbearing as Adora, who cares a little too much about what everyone thinks of her, it's difficult to maintain a relationship.

Camille is a woman who relies on alcohol to help her with the scars from the past, and ...
