  • Creep

    That was a heartbreaking twist.

Roswell, New Mexico Season 1 Episode 12 took our favorite characters on a wild ride, and by the end of the installment, everything was changed.

Let's start with Michael. He was once just a young boy who felt like nobody in the world wanted him.

He had Max and Isobel, but they were welcomed into the Evans family. He was not.

Going on the mission with Alex and Kyle was always going to reveal some big twists about Project Sheppard, but I did not expect Michael to meet his mother.

The government keeping the aliens holed up in those cells like they were animals was horrifying.

    Champagne Supernova

Now, that's how you unmask an alien!

Roswell, New Mexico Season 1 Episode 11 was filled with twists and turns from start to finish as our heroes attempted to unmask the elusive fourth alien once and for all.

The reveal was unsurprising, but that's not a bad thing. Noah was the likely option. He's sat on the periphery throughout Roswell, New Mexico Season 1 to the point that many fans have questioned why he is billed as a main character.

While we know he was the one who possessed Isobel and had her kill Rosa and the other two girls, there are still a lot of unanswered questions.

Thankfully, we have two more episodes left to get the answers!

    I Don't Want To Miss A Thing

The fourth alien is scary AF.

Roswell, New Mexico Season 1 Episode 10 was another answer-filled affair that helped the series regain its focus and sent the narrative in an exciting new direction.

It's fascinating that this fourth alien can take over the bodies of humans and the other aliens alike. It begs the question about who this mysterious person could be and what their ultimate goal is.

With the body count piling up, it seems like the killer never really stopped killing. The murders were mostly covered up, giving this person free rein to the people of Roswell, New Mexico.

That's not okay, and while it's surprising that this person has been on the scene for such a long time, but we need to remember there's some mind control thrown in here.

Isobel has never been the best character on the show, and her actions have left many fans on the fence about whether she's one to root for or not.

    The strug...

  • Songs About Texas

    Songs About Texas

There's a fourth alien! Max and Liz kissed! Maria and Michael got hot and heavy in the desert!

Roswell, New Mexico Season 1 Episode 9 had a lot of big twists that should help advance the plot of this freshman drama, but I can't say I'm excited about any of them.

We'll start with that kiss between Max and Liz. I love a good callback, and having Shiri Appleby direct this episode was poignant given that the ninth episode of the original series was the first time OG Max and OG Liz locked lips.

However, the chemistry between Max and Liz has been fizzling out for weeks now. Maybe it's the constant back forth between both characters.

It's difficult to get on board with a relationship when it's perfectly obvious one party is way more invested in it than the other. I'm not saying Liz should be more into Max at this stage in the narrative, but that kiss felt thrown in there for fan service.

Liz has had her reasons fo...

  • Barely Breathing

    Barely Breathing

The mission to save Isobel brought everyone together!

On Roswell, New Mexico Season 1 Episode 8, Isobel's life was hanging in the balance, and it was all her own fault.

Isobel agreeing to go into the hospital in the first place to allow herself to be experimented on was quite the surprise, but using her compulsion on Kyle to inject her with the serum was her dumbest move to date.

On the surface, she was trying to be a better person and thought that Liz was smart enough to have engineered a serum that would help suppress her powers and murderous tendencies.

That was far too good to be true because these surprise solutions need some time to be tested and Liz didn't have anything to test them on other than a group of mice.

  • I Saw the Sign

    I Saw the Sign

We wanted Maria DeLuca, and we got lots of her.

Roswell, New Mexico Season 1 Episode 7 shed light on Maria's fraught relationship with her mother, and it made for a solid hour of this CW drama.

Showrunner Carina Adly MacKenzie promised fans on social media that an upcoming episode would provide a lot of information about the character, so we knew it was coming.

If you watch Roswell, New Mexico online, you know that Maria has mostly been used as a plot device whenever Liz needed someone to take on the friend character.

It was about time we got some insight into her.

Having Sheri Saum playing Maria's mother was the perfect casting choice.

While the narrative Mimi was spouting seemed like something out of Independence Day, there were some moments in which she seemed like she was talking sense.

  • Smells Like Teen Spirit

    Smells Like Teen Spirit

Well, that was a surprising turn of events.

Roswell, New Mexico Season 1 Episode 6 was a flashback-heavy installment that took us on a trip to fill in the blanks about what really happened all those years ago.

    The biggest surprise?

There was no last-minute twist to rule Isobel innocent. I expected someone else to show up at the cave, someone who was not an alien.

Hell, I even entertained the possibility that Isobel had an identical twin. Come on, it would have helped explain the constant changes in her mood.

I was also seriously getting the vibe that Isobel was in love with Rosa. There was more than one scene in which they got close, and Isobel looked like she wanted to get even closer.

Then there was the whole Isobel leaning over Rosa and telling her to run away with her.

If "Smells Like Teen Spirit" was supposed to make us understand more about the character of Rosa, it failed. ...

  • Don't Speak

    Don't Speak

Well, that will go down as one of the twistiest episodes of television in quite some time.

Roswell, New Mexico Season 1 Episode 5 brought us new layers to the mystery and set us on a different path as we approach the second half of Roswell, New Mexico Season 1.

It seemed too easy to rule Michael as the killer, especially when it seemed like a throwaway moment. Isobel is so far gone that she doesn't even remember doing the deed.

Isobel's murderous tendencies were a real surprise. On the surface, she's a happy-go-lucky, bubbly person who strives to be her best self.

Behind closed doors, however, she's a mess. She forgets things, acts erratically, and it's no wonder Noah decided enough was enough.

It was natural for him to think Isobel was getting close to someone else. When your significant other disappears and shows up without so much as an apology, it's a bit of a slap in the face.

    It was about time som...

  • Where Have All The Cowboys Gone?

Where Have All The Cowboys Gone?

    No, not Michael.

Roswell, New Mexico Season 1 Episode 4 was another hour of this freshman drama that left me wanting more.

The murder mystery has been one of the bright spots of this series, and the conclusion of "Where Have All The Cowboys Gone?" shocked me to the core.

I did not expect Michael to reveal that he was the one who killed Rosa and the other girls.

That came out of nowhere, and while I think it's too easy to jump on the bandwagon and believe him, he must have been up to something on that fateful night.

If you've been keeping up to speed, you know we're being led to believe Michael is the product of growing up in loveless homes.

We already knew that he didn't find a family and that he was split up from Max and Liz.

That's why his reliance on alcohol, breaking the law and fighting with just about anyone who looks at him the wrong way made sense.

    With mur...

  • Tearin' Up My Heart

    Tearin' Up My Heart

Damn, this show is not messing around.

Roswell, New Mexico Season 1 Episode 3 kicked the murder mystery into high gear as Liz went on a mission to find proof about what happened to her sister, and it resulted in another wild episode of this new sci-fi drama.

Max allowing Liz to run tests on him is probably the dumbest thing he could do, but he's so blinded by love that he's continually allowing his and his siblings' lives to be put on the line.

I can't fault Liz for going postal on Max.

He lied to her, and she knows an alien was involved in her sister's murder.

With three aliens accounted for and Max one of them, he's going to be high up in the list of suspects.

    The scene with the test...
