    The Men In Black

The CIA can do whatever they want.

And on Project Blue Book Season 2 Episode 5, it seems that Harding and Valentine are shaking in their boots.

Did they ever expect someone would challenge their authority?

Before that even happened, Hynek got up close and personal with the Men in Black, and even became a temporary member of their secret club.

The battle now seems to be about the real truth between the people "in the know" and the narrative that the Air Force and the CIA want the world to know. The only problem is that the CIA and the Air Force aren't working hand-in-hand, and, now, the Air Force is under the gun.,

It's suspicious that after Quinn sought Dan's help with finding Hynek that all of a sudden the CIA decided to go after Project Blue Book. Perhaps, now that they know some new information via Dan (a la Quinn's reveal about the classified object), they can eliminate the middle man.

    On the other hand, ...

    Hopkinsville

Quinn was right to ask why alien visits only happen in the woods.

The woods may keep secrets, but on Project Blue Book Season 2 Episode 4, they also hide lies.

We probably knew from the beginning that Jimmy J wasn't telling the truth.

The circus man from the backwoods loved telling stories, and whether he was telling his tall tale for some extra dough or as a way to generate more business for his circus doesn't really matter.

What matters is that Valentine and his cronies have a bunch of UFOs sitting in a hangar in Hopkinsville ready for a fake alien invasion.

What's even more curious is that the CIA has psychic assets working for them in a secret lab, one of which foretold of the planned alien invasion.

Yet the psychic girl would only "speak" to Quinn.

And our favorite CIA spy, Daniel, confronted Harding and Valentine about their plot without telling anyone else.

    So, what's reall...

    Area 51

Who wins the toss-up for the most shadowy and shadiest conspirator?

Hynek and Quinn had thought the Air Force won that coin toss, but on Project Blue Book Season 2 Episode 3, they discovered another shadowy government organization who might have beat the Air Force by a mile.

But, not really. The Air Force still wins.

It's surprising that the CIA would even allow anyone on their base to investigate anything. Heck, Hynek had never even heard of the CIA before Valentine told him and Quinn about their case.

So, when they arrived at Area 51 in Nevada, the duo was treated to a firsthand look at some of the inner workings of the CIA operations. Sort of.

The case of the Lubbock Lights and other unsolved cases were solved immediately when the two saw the secret aircraft the CIA had been building and testing.

But while the CIA was in charge of the airbase they were on and doing their thing, Hynek and Quinn discovered t...

    The Roswell Incident Part 2

Was that the juiciest or WHAT!?

Just as it was looking to be a disappointing end to the Roswell story, we were hit with a whopper,

We all wanted the aliens to be real on Project Blue Book Season 2 Episode 2, but what happened after the mystery was "solved" was even more mind blowing than if the alien autopsy hadn't been faked.

Valentine and Harding weren't making up stuff to cover up the existence of aliens when they dropped that whopper about Josef Mengele.

The theory that the "aliens" were Josef Mengele experiments and that they were sent by Stalin to create a UFO panic in the U.S. is a true theory.

This wild explanation of the Roswell incident comes from Annie Jacobsen's 2011 book, Area 51.

Mortician: I don't trust the Air Force.
Hynek: Neither do we. We don't work for them. We work for you, the people.and that's why we're here -- to find out what really happened here at Roswell six year...

Hynek and Quinn are a team that can never be separated.

Hynek might have thought that quitting the team was the best solution for him and Mimi on Project Blue Book Season 1 Episode 9, but the temptations of finding the truth were too great.

Besides, he likes Quinn too much.

The fight between Quinn and Hynek was a long time coming. And it was epic!

Hynek was feeling pressure at home from Mimi who is suffering from a major case of lonely housewife syndrome, but he wasn't about to put his marriage in jeopardy to continue his quest for the truth.

The only option he had was to turn in his resignation even though it was something he had no interest in doing.

Captain Quinn needs to open his eyes!!

Quinn got taken for a major ride on Project Blue Book Season 1 Episode 7, but it seems he's still under Harding's hypnotic spell.

    Why, Quinn, why?!

There have to be a million thoughts racing through Quinn's mind, but Harding dangling promises of better appointments ahead is blinding our favorite Air Force captain.

Quinn was pumped to be questioning what he thought was a Russian spy about a missing "sensitive" object stolen from the Air Force base.

He thought this was a step up from hunting down and discrediting flying saucer cases, but he was in for a big surprise.

The scenes between Quinn and Rizzuto were some of the best of the series so far. Quinn wasn't playing around, and if he had the chance, he would have shot Rizzuto just for being a traitor to ...

    The Green Fireballs

    The mystery deepens.

Hynek thought he had the green fireballs all figured out on Project Blue Book Season 1 Episode 6, but neither meteors or Soviet spy devices made any sense to him.

And now that a man in a black hat gave him a mysterious object, he's going to start piecing it all together behind everyone's back except for Mimi -- which may end up being his biggest mistake ever.

Hynek has no clue that Mimi's good friend Susie is a Soviet spy. He has no clue that the two of them snooped around his office or that Susie is listening in on his every conversation.

Mimi doesn't know any of this either except for the snooping, but I doubt that she's going to share that piece of information with her husband anytime soon.

One thing is for sure: Captain Quinn is a badass.

Quinn took down Kavanaugh in no time on Project Blue Book Season 1 Episode 5, but his badass skills might be of no use when it comes to Susie.

It's hard to tell at this point whether Quinn suspects Susie is trying to manipulate him, but he has to be at least a little suspicious.

Susie is an attractive woman, and Quinn has shown in the past that he's more than willing to give a nice looking girl some time and attention.

But he's also shown that the job comes first no matter what kinds of fun he'd like to enjoy.

Despite Susie's claims that she keeps a gun on hand because of a mugging in New York City, it's still odd that she just happened to show up at the right time to save Mimi from Fuller.

    Operation Paperclip

    It's all becoming clear now.

The U.S. Air Force's investigation into UFOs isn't so much about them learning about alien life as it is about winning the space race against the Soviets.

On Project Blue Book Season 1 Episode 4, Hynek and Quinn stepped deeper into that conspiracy with Quinn even breaking the rules to try to find out the truth!

Quinn is a man that doesn't like to be told no. He's also a guy who doesn't like to be lied to.

When he and Hynek were denied entry into the military base, he knew something wasn't right.

Getting suspended just tipped the scales towards a cover-up, but I don't think he expected to find what he and Hynek did when they went back to the base under cover of night.

    The Lubbock Lights

Captain Quinn had a close encounter of some kind out in that field.

And yet, he still toed the company line on Project Blue Book Season 1 Episode 3 when Harding told him and Hynek that the mysterious Lubbock Lights were a top-secret military aircraft.

    Yeah, right.

Quinn knows it wasn't a military aircraft. He also knows it wasn't plover birds.

The Lubbock Lights case of 1951 is one the most infamous of all UFO cases ranked right up there with the sightings in Roswell, New Mexico. Hundreds of residents in the small Texas town witnessed the phenomenon.

Even though there is a photograph of the strange lights (pictured below) taken by a 19-year-old college student, Carl Hart, Jr., the case of the Lubbock Lights remains unsolved, according to History.com.

There's a case to be made for a top-secret military aircraft, especially considering there's a military base nearby and the formation of the lights does lo...
