Inspired by Bellevue, the oldest public hospital in America, this unique medical drama follows the brilliant and charming Dr. Max Goodwin, the institution's newest medical director, who sets out to tear up the bureaucracy and provide exceptional care. How can he help? Well, the doctors and staff have heard this before. Not taking "no" for an answer, Dr. Goodwin must disrupt the more
... status quo and prove he will stop at nothing to breathe new life into this understaffed, underfunded and underappreciated hospital - the only one in the world capable of treating Ebola patients, prisoners from Rikers and the president of the United States under one roof - and return it to the glory that put it on the map.

New Amsterdam LATEST REVIEWS | TVBuzer

Is that it? Has Floyd left the building for good? All this time, it never felt as if Floyd was on his way out. It seemed like something would pop up in the final moments, and he would change his mind. But they gave him an official sendoff by the end of New Amsterdam Season 2 Episode 17, and there was a sense of finality to it. Now it feels weird that most of us never bought he would leave in the first place. Maybe he'll find his way back at New Amsterdam in th... more

The hiatus was worth it. We had another incredible hour of the series, and New Amsterdam Season 2 Episode 16 covered a lot of ground. It's definitely going to be an hour that will have people talking for a plethora of reasons. We need to start with how adorable the relationship between Kapoor and Ella is, and how well they've gotten at communicating with one another. When they talk through their issues, they can usually reach agreements, compromise... more

Double Blind

Is it possible to make it through an hour of this series without crying? For most people, it's doubtful. It was another moving installment whenNew Amsterdam Season 2 Episode 15 tackled the opioid crisis, but it also was a weird hour when it touched upon an incestual relationship as well. Yeah, um, what does one say about that? The hour was oddly frenzied with the heartwrenching, raw moments from the opioid storyline splitting time with the bizarre and disturbi... more

New Amsterdam Boss Talks Max and Helen's Bad Timing, Incorporating a Real-World Pandemic Into Season 3

Talk about bad timing: On New Amsterdam‘s makeshift Season 2 finale, Max broke up with Alice, telling her that it isn’t fair to their kids to pretend to be a family when he’s still grieving. And should Max one day be ready to start a new romance, Helen might not be available, because she ended the episode with the hospital’s new trauma surgeon Dr. Shin (played by Daniel Dae Kim)! Elsewhere, Dr. Kapoor lamented to chairwoman Karen Brantley about how no one takes the... more

I can honestly say I've fallen in love with this show. I think it's because Max is played by Tom Keane that's what drew me in. Although I struggle to gel with the English female doctor why do American shows insist on this accent? I've lived in the UK all my life and never yet heard a person sound like that. It's like Parminder Nagra it's like a less posh keera knitely. Please ffs stop it.

Getting back to the show I feel it makes me a better person I love Iggy and normally gay people irritate me. Perhaps it's because he's not camp and in your face about it like vegans. He's just a nice caring guy who's a bit of a rock star. Even doctor kapur with his call center accent that hatred of his accent quickly turned to love because of his slothness experience. He doesn't care how long it takes so long as he gets the correct diagnosis.

I love Dr bloom she's a hotty with a great role but I wish she'd stop chasing the black surgeon he's a bit of a prick. The whole plan thing really out me off
