  • The Ultimate SnooZzzzefest

    The Ultimate SnooZzzzefest

    Are you drained yet?

Maybe it's because of the series covering the pandemic, but for some reason, it has been a long-drawn-out season. Of the two hours of Married at First Sight Season 11 Episode 15, at least an hour of it was unnecessary.

It was days before decision day, and there was nothing new divulged in the installment that they couldn't cram into the season finale.

By now, we have a strong indication of which couples will probably stay together and who will not. However, the two front-running couples did hit some final bumps in the road to leave us questioning if what they built for the past four months could all come crumbling down around them.

In many ways, Amelia and Bennett are so much alike, and they are a compatible couple. However, it's their differences that are causes for concern.

It's mostly coming from Bennett's end of things. Amelia has had it easy sailing for the entire experience. She likes Bennett ...

  • Stranger Spouse

    Stranger Spouse

The couples are at their most entertaining when they interact with one another.

And that's what made Married at First Sight Season 11 Episode 14 a fun hour. It's one thing to experience each couple getting familiar with one another, but the group dynamics and respective friendships that come about from this process are illuminating too.

Everyone had a read on each other, and the retreat had all of them reevaluating their relationships.

We did not get much from Brett and Olivia during this installment. Olivia had a brief moment where she and Amani talked with each other about Brett's iconic "Irish Goodbye."

The funniest part about their conversation is that it felt as though Olivia was angrier that he took all the food out of the fridge and cabinets than the fact that he left.

It speaks volumes about the nature of their relationship, and while it was a topic for discussion at the couple's retreat, no one seemed surprised...

  • Home Alone

    Home Alone

Quarantine has taken a toll on the couples, and to say things got explosive is an understatement.

By the end of Married at First Sight Season 11 Episode 13, one couple officially called it quits, and another was on a path of no return.

We should pour one out for Olivia & Brett and Christina & Henry right now.

    Bennett & Amelia

It seems the healthier the couple, the less screentime they get. For a while now, Bennett and Amelia have gotten along so well with limited issues. We've seen less and less of them as the season progressed because of it.

However, their biggest issue was one that hung in the air and went undiscussed as both of them avoided talking about anything that could disrupt the harmonious vibe they've had going on.

The statewide lockdown was a godsend for both of them. Bennett and Amelia spent one-on-one time with each other doing some of everything, and it gave them the chance to get to know ...

  • One Month Down and a Quarantine to Go

One Month Down and a Quarantine to Go

It was the beginning stages of the pandemic for the couples, but you could barely tell.

The couples spent the majority of Married at First Sight Season 11 Episode 12, reminiscing on how far they have come and celebrating their one-month anniversary.

It's the most blissful all of the couples have been as they relived their wedding days and reexamined how they feel about one another and their futures.

    Henry & Christina

Oddly, it took Christina looking back on their wedding day to notice how close and affectionate they were, and Henry was willing to be with her.

It raises an interesting question or rather confirms what some of us have speculated about Henry's level of comfort with Christina dwindling as the process progressed.

For the most part, we didn't spend much time with the couple and depending on how you feel about this couple, who have mostly been uncomfortable, it's a good thing.

    Henry spe...

  • Let's Talk About Sex, Baby!

    Let's Talk About Sex, Baby!

As the weeks progress with these couples, two couples have warmed our hearts, while the others are virtually in shambles.

While there was some progress with the problematic couples on Married at First Sight Season 11 Episode 11, it's not enough for most of them to make it.

In fact, things got borderline uncomfortable and enraging.

    Karen & Miles

Out of the struggling couples, Miles and Karen have the most potential. It's hard to tell how much of their problems are a result of Karen's discomfort over being filmed.

From the sounds of matters, they get along rather well offscreen. They carry on all the necessary conversations when the cameras aren't rolling. It means that they have a much deeper bond than we see onscreen, and perhaps viewers' response to Karen is a bit harsh.

Finally, the couple had a much-needed sit-down with one of the experts. They were able to discuss some of what's getting between them and thei...

  • Dealbreakers

The second you think you have some of the couples figured out, they surprise you.

Ups and downs are a natural part of the process, and Married at First Sight Season 11 Episode 10 was filled with them. Some unlikely couples made progress, and others stalled.

Do you think there is hope for Miles & Karen and Henry & Christina after a rocky start?

    Olivia & Brett

Olivia and Brett are an unusual pair because of how they've been coasting by in the middle. They have moments when it seems as though they're getting along well, but their issues are never as glaring as the two most challenging couples, but they aren't doing as well as the more stable pairs.

If I had to place a bet on whether or not they will decide to stay married by the end of this, I would say it's a hard no. For one, it never seemed as though they were genuinely attracted to each other physically or personality-wise.

They said they were, but what...

  • You Can Get Out of This!

You Can Get Out of This!

Well, there were housewarming parties from heaven and those from hell.

As time goes on, there are cracks in some of the relationships. But while Miles and Karen, and Brett and Olivia, made some strides on Married at First Sight Season 11 Episode 8, Henry and Christina are imploding.

And let's be honest; it's making for delicious drama.

    Woody & Amani

Woody and Amani had one of the most successful housewarming parties with their collection of friends. Everyone got along well together, and you know it's a good sign when you can't tell who was friends with whom.

They had such a good time with some of the usual games, and while a rousing game of "Never Have I Ever" could spark some issues with a couple, Woody and Amani are equally feisty.

It worked for them. The weirdest part of the evening was the level of investment in their sex life. Why does everyone dive into those conversations?

    Leave it to Woo...

  • The Honeymoon is Over

    The Honeymoon is Over

We're finally getting to all the drama with the couples, and this is what we signed up for, yes?

No couple was spared on Married at First Sight Season 11 Episode 7 when they each visited each other's homes before moving into apartments, and it gave everyone an idea of the person of whom they were married.

Also, the hour revealed the first of the issues that could tear the couples apart.

    Brett & Olivia

Who imagined at the start of the season that Olivia would be the one most viewers are talking about and criticizing most? She's done a 180 from the woman we were introduced to, and because of that, she's distracted us from all the ways Brett's behavior bugged us.

And let's be clear, Brett is still shady as hell, and there are some red flags there, but within his relationship with Olivia, he's not the one who comes across with all of the issues.

Well played, sir. Well played, indeed!

    Once again, Oli...

  • I See Red Flags

    I See Red Flags

The more time we spend with some of these couples, the more apparent they aren't going to make it.

Even though we were STILL on the honeymoon until the end of Married at First Sight Season 11 Episode 6, it didn't diminish the drama and other things that unfolded.

For starters, it yielded some unexpected feelings about Brett.

    Keeping Hope Alive

Thanks to almost all the other couples showing troubling signs early on, Bennett and Amelia are the darlings of the season so far.

They've been a joy to watch, and they seem the most compatible on the surface, so it's easy to get wrapped up in their love story and all the warm and fuzzy feelings they invoke.

Call me a realist, but if I remove my rose-colored glasses about this pairing, they do have issues on the horizon. It isn't that they're 100% on the same page all of the time, it's that they're avoiding having hard conversations about things they could potentially clash on...

  • The Honeymoon Begins

    The Honeymoon Begins

    What did the experts do?

We often joke about the seemingly random process the experts take when matching the pairings, but Married at First Sight Season 11 Episode 5 has shown us now more than ever that they're presenting us with pairings for drama more than compatibility.

How else can you explain what's going on with most, if not all, the couples?

Let's start things off with Henry and Christina. They're the hardest couple to watch at the moment. Watching paint dry is more exciting, and much of that falls on Henry.

Here's the thing, though. I'm not going to bash this man. Henry is duller than a butter knife slicing through a t-bone steak, but it's getting to a point where it's almost as if they're making a mockery of him with these edits.

Henry is shy, quiet, reserved, and excruciatingly awkward. The only thing worse than sitting through scenes where Christina does her damndest to pull this man...
