Insecure: Special: Wine Down: Lowkey Lost | TVBuzer

Aired: June 14,2020

Issa Rae and Prentice Penny sit down with Amanda Seales to unpack the finale.... more

It's Issa's 30th birthday on Insecure Season 3 Episode 8 -- and Molly and Issa both must confront their past in order to craft their futures. It's an episode of introspection as well as questioning for both of them, which I hope leads to a fascinating season 4. It's not the most action-packed episode and ends on a very unsatisfying note, but otherwise, it's a solid 30 minutes. It's so satisfying to see Issa finally pursue the music nonprofit after so many episodes w... more

On Insecure Season 3 Episode 7, Issa goes above and beyond her usual antics to search for Nathan, but he's simply gone. It's one of those frustrating things in life. Why do men do that? Nathan has literally disappeared off the face of the Earth. However, it seems like Issa really did care about him, or at least minded enough to see where he went. On Insecure Season 3 Episode 6, Issa aims to get back on her feet, but she's swept back under when she bumps into Lawrence. Insecure really did just successfully pull off one of the greatest tricks of all time -- making us all think Lawrence was gone for good and throwing him back into the fray! I hope you were surprised by the end of Insecure Season 3 Episode 5 because I sure was. I didn't see it coming at all and was honestly a little disappointed that he wasn't co... more

Even before protests over the latest killing of a Black citizen by a police officer prompted global protests, turning on the TV to watch the news meant up-to-the-minute updates on the devastation caused by COVID-19 -- a guaranteed way to plunge into a pool of upsetting information. One good hack for those who want to leave the telly on, for background noise or to keep you company, is watching stand-up comedy specials.  Of course, as we continue to watch the biggest civil rights movement in history play out in real time, lots of us ar... more

Insecure Season 4 Finale Recap: [Spoiler] Drops a Major Bombshell On Issa and Lawrence's Reunion

We knew they were coming. The closer we got to the Season 4 finale of Insecure, the more clearly we could see not only those turning points fast approaching but also the exclamation points with which they were followed. So, when all was said and done, did Issa wind up with rekindled old flame Lawrence… or did she decide to give it another go with her other ex, Nathan? Or was the whole sexy conundrum left unresolved? And did Molly convince Andrew to stick a fork in their ... more
