    The Beginning...

Of all the ways Gotham could have ended it's run, Gotham Season 5 Episode 12 didn't live up to the hype.

Sure, we got to see Batman and all the villains.

We saw a new Barbara and saw a glimpse of what Batgirl would become, but if I had my choice, Gotham Season 5 Episode 11 would have been a better ending.

At least we could have imagined what the new Gotham City would have been like which would have been a lot more fun than what was laid out for us.

After 10 years of peace, everything once again went haywire in Gotham all because Bruce Wayne was set to return.

It was a weird setup, but it was what it was.

It was nice that Gotham gave fans a few Batman classic nuggets like Jim having a mustache, but what was the point of it if he was going to shave it off two minutes after we saw it?

    They Did What?

It's hard to believe that Gotham is almost over.

Gotham Season 5 has moved fast as we prepare to say our final goodbye and Gotham Season 5 Episode 11 was no different.

It was an incredible hour where issues were resolved to set up the Gotham of the future with Batman as the City's Dark Knight.

Bane and Nyssa were intent on destroying Gotham and weren't about to let anything get in their way.

But they didn't realize that the people of Gotham weren't going to sit back without a fight -- and that includes Oswald and Ed.

Ed didn't want to help at first. He had every intention of leaving Gotham in the submarine.

But Penguin's heart and soul are deeply embedded in Gotham, and he was staying to fight.

He was disappointed in Ed, but he understood why Ed wanted to leave.

    Is all hope lost?

Gotham suffered a massive setback on Gotham Season 5 Episode 10 and one from which it may never recover.

Just when Jim thought all his troubles were starting to fade away, Nyssa al Ghul appeared to wreak more havoc on the city, and this time it was much worse than the bombing of Haven.

Nyssa wanted to avenge the death of her father by not only punishing Gotham but also by punishing those responsible for killing him, namely Barbara and Bruce.

And she didn't do it alone. Bane was born, and he quickly became Jim's worst nightmare.

With only two episodes of Gotham left, we couldn't expect a happy ending would come so soon. A happy ending might not come at all.

Barbara certainly isn't going to have a happy ending.

It's clear now that the events on Go...

    What just happened?

No matter what you may have witnessed on Gotham Season 5 Episode 9, Jim Gordon did not marry Lee Thompkins.

It was all a dream. It had to be. One month later placard or not, these two lovebirds are not married.

I know Gotham is moving at breakneck speed. It has to now that there are only three episodes left. If anyone needed any proof, all they'd have to look at is how Barbara's pregnancy is progressing so rapidly.

But even if Jim did recover from his gunshot wound, Lee isn't that desperate to just jump the gun with Jim. There is so much for her to consider first like how to deal with Barbara and the baby.

We all know Babs wouldn't just sit by and let Jim marry Lee so easily when she's carrying his baby. She would have fought tooth and nail to stop the wedding.

    Nothing's Shocking

    Nothing's shocking, indeed.

I'm not sure what Gotham intended with Gotham Season 5 Episode 8, but very little happened to move the current story forward.

However, there were some strides made in regards to various relationships between the characters of the three different stories that were told this hour.

Barbara and Jim, Jim and Bullock, Ed and Oswald, and Alfred and Bruce all had a shift in how they interact or would interact in the future with each other.

Let's start with Ed and Oswald.

I know there are lots of people probably excited at The Ventriloquist making its way to Gotham, but the only thing I enjoyed out of the entire interaction was the end result between Ed and Oswald.

It was shocking to see Mr. Penn walk back into Oswald's life. The story of how he survived being shot didn't make ...

    Absolute insanity.

Jeremiah solidified his connection with Bruce on Gotham Season 5 Episode 7 in one of the series' most insanely dark and craziest episodes to date.

As the series winds down, each new episode outdoes the last by miles, and "Ace Chemicals" was no exception. We all knew it was going to be wild, but holy hell, I still haven't recovered from that ride.

It's safe to say that Jeremiah has an unnatural obsession with Bruce. His plan to recreate the murders of Martha and Thomas Wayne to connect him to Bruce forever was brilliant, but it might not have worked.

That is until he decided to make the big switcheroo and replace the original Wayne clones with Jim and Lee.

Eduardo didn't come to Gotham to play nice.

And while Jim thought he solved the problem of his old friend on Gotham Season 5 Episode 6, Walker showed up to give Eduardo a second chance as Gotham's newest supervillain.

That's right. Bane was finally born. If Jim thought he had problems before, he has no idea what's in store for him now.

It will be a shock when he meets the new and improved Eduardo, and I have no clue how Jim and friends will be able to stop that mega monster.

I'm also not clear on what Walker intends to do about Gotham or why exactly she wants to see it burn.

But who cares about Walker and Bane right now. Their time for wreaking more havoc on Gotham will come, especially if they team up with Jeremiah, but that's a big if.

Before we talk about anything else, I have one question.

What the hell is Jeremiah up to now?

It was no surprise to find that Jeremiah survived Selina's knife attack and was recovering in a hidden room in his fortress on Gotham Season 5 Episode 5. The guy is invincible.

Won't everyone be shocked when he shows up to wreak more havoc on an already decimated city?

But first, it seems he's going to mess with Bruce Wayne a little more.

Jeremiah has already done a number on the love of Bruce's life. Selina has changed in more ways than one, and there's no turning back for her except maybe at the very end of her criminal career many, many years down the road.

    I AM CRYING, PEOPLE, CRYING!

For all the time I have been wishing for a Babs and Jim reunion, my wish finally came true on Gotham Season 5 Episode 4!

I AM BESIDE MYSELF WITH JOY AND ON CLOUD 9!!!!!!

Yes, I know it was a moment of weakness on Jim's part, but still, it was exciting as HELL to watch him grab her and pull her towards him for that passionate embrace!

What does his mean other than he's going to regret it in the morning?

Well, she could get pregnant, and thus Baby Babs will be born fulfilling every fanboy and fangirl's dream!

That is, of course, if someone doesn't interrupt them like Bullock which I could totally see happening!

There doesn't seem to be any hope left for Gotham.

After a bomb ripped through Jim Gordon's Haven on Gotham Season 5 Episode 3, good citizens seem to be lacking, too.

It was a shocking turn of events after what seemed like a major victory for Gordon and the rest of the good guys after they secured a place people could call home until Gotham got back under control.

The Haven was a place where everyone sought refuge. It was a place of hope, but now all that is destroyed.

It has to be frustrating for Jim. His life is a series of one step forward and a million steps back.

He also continues to ride the line between a good cop and a cop willing to compromise his morals if it benefits him the long run.

Once again, Jim teamed up with Penguin to get himself out of a tough situation. He had no choice because Penguin wasn't going to give up the key to get them out of that cell.
