Into the Ring

Holy Vigilante Batman! DC better take Marvel TV more seriously now. For years DC Comics has dominated the small screen with shows like Smallville, Arrow and more recently, The Flash. Marvel meanwhile, was the kingpin at the box office, yet Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., failed to connect with audiences when it premiered in 2013. Agent Carter was a critical darling, but its low ratings make it unlikely to return for a second season. Daredevil Season 1 Episode 1 is... more

Cut Man

Daredevil introduces Night Nurse! How is it possible that Daredevil Season 1 Episode 2 was even more intense than the first installment? It's a good thing Claire Temple found Matt in that dumpster. Sure, he can take a beating, but he's going to need her expertise moving forward. I was pleased to see our attorney/heroes at work in the courtr... more

IndieWire reported in August 2019 that Disney would not be able to touch Cox’s “Daredevil” franchise until fall 2020 due to a contract preventing Netflix’s Marve... more

'Daredevil' Actress Says Netflix Was Responsible for Cancelation, Not Marvel

Viewers were surprised by the cancellation of “Daredevil” last month; so was the cast. Charlie Cox called it “painful,” and now his castmate Amy Rutberg has said that even “people high up at Marvel” were shocked by the move — and that Netflix was solely responsible for the decision. “My contacts at Marvel were very surprised. Any of the rumors that it was a Marvel decision are wrong, I think it was purely a Netflix decision. That comes from personal conversations with people high up at Marvel. They were su... more
