The unscripted Curb Your Enthusiasm brings the off-kilter comic vision of Larry David, who plays himself in a parallel universe in which he can't seem to do anything right, and, by his standards, neither can anyone else.

Start The Violin Music

This eighth season was billed as Curb Your Enthusiasm coming to New York. The show worked Larry leaving for NYC in so hilariously that I overlooked the fact that it took half the season to get him here. And while I was ready to criticize the season for not having an overarching theme to the 10-episode run, "Larry vs. Michael J. Fox" brought the New York era to an end in such a funny and poetic manner that I'm ready to forgive the uneven season. Back in "The Vow of Sile... more

You Bucknered It!

In a word, the penultimate episode of Curb Your Enthusiasm's eighth season was... enjoyable. With its therapist blunders, sexual accidents, backwards civil rights activism, and heartwarming Bill Buckner moments, "Mister Softee" was an extremely fun half hour of television. For my money, Fred Melamed put forth some of the best comedic work of the summer in his small role as Larry's therapist. The subtlety he used in blatantly spilling information on his clients, while acting li... more

It Was The One-Armed Man!

All of the one-armed man references in "Car Periscope" must have been from The Fugitive because there never actually was a one-armed man in The Mask - even though Jim Carrey so memorably announced It wasn't me. It was the one-armed man! - and Wrongfully Accused featured a one-armed, one-legged, one-eyed man as the villain. While playing off of The Fugitive for the one-armed man thing certainly ran its course through the 90s, enough time has ... more

'Curb Your Enthusiasm' Renewed for Season 11 at HBO

“Curb Your Enthusiasm” has been renewed for an eleventh season at HBO. The show stars “Seinfeld” co-creator Larry David as a heightened version of himself. Season 10 also starred Susie Essman, Jeff Garlin, Cheryl Hines, Richard Lewis, J.B. Smoove, and Ted Danson. The series is famously shot without a script and cast members are given scene outlines and improvise lines as they go. “Bel... more

Curb Your Enthusiasm Recap: Don't You Dare Call a Scone a 'Fancy Muffin'

It’s safe to say Curb Your Enthusiasm‘s Larry David has a… unique perspective on social politics. On Sunday’s episode, he can’t help himself as he fights for his favorite pastry, becomes smitten over artificial fruit and is annoyed by garbage cans. Leave it to Larry. At the top, Larry visits a former New York City pastry chef because he’s scouting out scones for ... more

Curb Your Enthusiasm Recap: 'Latte Larry' Goes to War with Ted, Jeff, His Lawyer and, Well, Everyone

Last week’s premiere of Curb Your Enthusiasm made it pretty clear: Larry’s going to war. So, will Latte Larry enact his battle plan against Mocha Joe tonight? Maybe not, but let’s see what shenanigans he gets into anyway. Larry meets with his lawyer to discuss the sexual harassment complaint from his assistant. If she gets anything from this lawsuit, Larry’s dead-set on leaving the country. Canada sounds nice, but it’s cold, he s... more
