'Survivor' Host Jeff Probst on the Best and Worst Players to Watch on 'Ghost Island'

'Survivor' Host Jeff Probst on the Best and Worst Players to Watch on 'Ghost Island'

Survivor: Ghost Island hasn't premiered yet but host Jeff Probst is already making his predictions based on his first impression of the cast. So who has a good chance of winning and who might be in trouble?

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Probst mentioned several names that might end up winning season 36. The first on Probst's list is Bradley Kleihege, the 26-year-old law student from Haslett, MI.

"I love Bradley because Bradley is almost like my alter-ego in a way. He's so arrogant and so confident. I can see myself in him. I'm just not as smart as him, as clever as him, or any of those things," the Survivor host told EW . "The thing I like about Bradley is that he's well aware you may judge him as arrogant or overly confident or call him whatever you want. He doesn't care because he immediately sees you as less than him anyway."

"I love Bradley and if we could have a Bradley every season I would be happy. And one of these days a guy like Bradley is going to win it," he added.

Probst also thinks that Desiree Afuye, the 21-year-old student from Newark, NJ, has plenty of potential.

"I like Desiree a lot," he said. "I think Desiree is a really interesting fresh kind of threat because when you look at her you wouldn't necessarily say, 'Oh, that's a girl who should win Survivor.' But then you start talking to her and you hear her story about what she's gone through and what she's overcome and where she is at a young age. I think Desiree has gone through enough that she might know how to lay low ... until the time is right to strike."

Another one to watch out for is Brendan Shapiro, the 41-year-old physical education teacher from Herndon, VA, who Probst thinks has just the right balance to go far in the game.

"Brandon is ... If you're going to pick a survivor dad, that's the guy you pick. He's strong, he's athletic, he's handsome, he's well spoken ... I like Brandon a lot. I think he could absolutely win the game," Probst revealed.

Career counselor Kellyn Bechtold from North Manchester, IN is someone that Probst can relate to. "I think Kellyn is a really fresh energy," he said of the 31-year-old contestant. "I love where she is in life. She's in a bit of transition. She's changed a lot of things. She's on a quest to get more knowledge from the world and I like people that dance with the universe. That speaks to my own soul."

Last but not the least in Probst's list is account executive Jenna Bowman, who is entering the game in a transition which might give her a forward momentum and a head start.

On the other hand, Probst dropped two names that might struggle in the competition: Chris Noble and Angela Perkins.

"Chris is one that I'm on the fence about," he told EW . "I love Chris as a guy. I love the story, I love the fact that he's playing for his mom in a lot of ways. This is a chance for him to come out here and do something big and be proud of it. I'm not sure Chris has all the social skills that he thinks he does. I could be wrong. People could love Chris and I could be scratching my head and I don't know what I didn't see."

"Angela is somebody I'm not sure about either. And the reason I'm not sure is I like her so much but I know she's vulnerable right now because she's undergoing a massive life change,"  he said of the army veteran, who is dealing with the end of her marriage. "That's gotta be super appealing to her to actually have a chance to do something for myself but on the other hand it's gotta be unstable, because who am I without that life. So I root for Angela and I hope she finds her footing."

What do you think of these players? Do you agree with Probst?
