NBC Announces Premiere Dates for 'America's Got Talent' and 'American Ninja Warrior'

The return dates for two of NBC's biggest summer shows have been set. America's Got Talent and American Ninja Warrior have been given an official premiere dates. America's Got Talent will begin in Tuesday May 31 at 8pm on NBC. American Ninja Warrior will quickly follow, starting the same week, on Thursday June 2 also at 8pm.

As previously reported , America's Got Talent will see a bit of change-up in season 11. Howard Stern is out and Simon Cowell, executive producer of the series, is taking his place. Heidi Klum, Mel B and Howie Mandel remain on the panel. Production will switch back to Los Angeles, presumably, because of Stern's exit. Hopefully Simon will be able to recapture the judging magic from American Idol that he couldn't get back with the failed The X Factor

American Ninja Warrior is a little less scandalous or exciting. All the usual hosts are back with Matt Iseman, former NFL player Akbar Gbajabiamila and Kristine Leahy returning. The endurance competition will see stops in Atlanta, Los Angeles, Indianapolis, Oklahoma City and Philadelphia before its final stop in Las Vegas. It is there that contestants (who qualified) will take on the impressive and brutally difficult course dubbed, Mt. Midoriyama. American Ninja Warrior had rather impressive rating spike in its last season and undoubtedly hopes to grow the audience even larger.

But which of these two shows are you more excited to see? Will you be watching both or only one of them? How do you think Simon will do as Howard Stern's replacement? Should they have kept the judging panel to just three coaches and not have bothered finding a replacement?
