Comedy Central Renews 'Tosh.0' for the Next 3 Years

Whatever you might think of the purposefully outrageous, sometimes abrasive comedy stylings of Daniel Tosh, you can't deny his success.

Premiering back in 2009, Comedy Central's 'Tosh.0' was an almost instant hit with the network's target demographic of 18-34 year-old male viewers. The premise of the show is simple: Tosh introduces and then makes jokes about video clips and other funny things from the web in front of a live studio audience, along with presenting the occasional prerecorded sketch starring the comedian.

Season 5 of 'Tosh.0' came to an end just last night, and Comedy Central wasted no time in locking up one of its most watched original series for another extended period. Tosh has been signed to host his show for the next three years, guaranteeing 'Tosh.0' s continued television presence until at least the end of 2016. Each season will consist of the now usual 30 episodes, with Season 6 set to premiere on Tuesday, Feburary 18, 2014.

This type of multi-year renewal is only offered to the network's top performers, including animated institution 'South Park,' and late night staples 'The Daily Show with Jon Stewart' and 'The Colbert Report.' This fall, 'Tosh.0' ranked as the top Tuesday performer among males 18-24 in not just cable, but in all of television. That right there is an impressive stat.

Do you watch 'Tosh.0' ? Is it worthy of a three-year renewal?
