Casting Bits: 'Pretty Little Liars' Adds Dre Davis, Emily Bergl to Appear on 'Scandal,' and More

Pretty Little Liars, Scandal and Nashville are just some of the TV shows that are making room for new characters. Here's a roundup of the latest casting news:

Dre Davis on Pretty Little Liars

Dre Davis is coming to Rosewood. The former Project Runway model has landed a recurring role on Pretty Little Liars, which is expected to return for its sixth season in June. Davis, who is also credited for her work in Scavenger Killers and David Gandy's Goodnight, will play a tomboyish character named Kimberly Brown, who's struggling with an ordeal to get her confidence back.

Emily Bergl on Scandal

When Cyrus (Jeff Perry) takes center stage on the March 26 flashback episode of Scandal, fans will finally meet the former Mrs. Beene. According to The Hollywood Reporter , Emily Berg will play Cyrus' wife Janet in the episode entitled "Put a Ring on It," which also features his late husband James (Dan Bucatinsky).

"We're going to learn about moments in James and Cyrus' life that we've never explored before, and we're going to throw a bit of a light on something that haunts Cyrus," Perry revealed to THR.

Aside from Bergl, who is best known for playing Sammi Slott on Shameless, Tammi Bryant on Southland and Annie O'Donnell on Men in Trees, fans can also expect True Blood actress Lauren Bowles to guest star as Mellie's (Bellamy Young) sister Harmony in the April 2 episode.

Rex Linn on Nashville

It looks like Chris Carmack's Will will have a lot on his plate towards the end of Nashville season 3. The singer, who has yet to come to terms with his sexuality as his career continues to soar, will soon reunite with his father William "Bill" Lexington, played by CSI: Miami actor Rex Linn. According to THR, "the character is described as a handsome, all-American guy who's a fourth-generation Texan. Bill is macho and proud and owns a bunch of ranch land that he works himself. He believes that hard work and elbow grease is the only way to get ahead. He's a devoted and sincere family man -- but also deeply conservative -- and for him, having a gay son just won't fly." Linn will kick off his recurring stint on Nashville in May.

Chris Daughtry on Studio City

American Idol season 5 alum Chris Daughtry will join FOX's upcoming pilot Studio City, which is about a young singer's journey to stardom and her songwriter father (Eric McCormack), who happens be a drug dealer to the stars. The 35-year-old musician will appear in a recurring capacity as drug addict rock star Keith Rhodes and will also write original songs for the series.
