ABC Cancels 'Last Man Standing'

Tim Allen is no longer standing on ABC. After six seasons, the network has cancelled his sitcom, Last Man Standing.

The show did consistently well on Friday nights, though it never quite fit with the rest of ABC's comedy brand. While it was a family show, it was multi-camera, a departure from Modern Family, Black-ish and most of the networks other comedies, which are single-camera.

Last Man Standing was also a rare right-leaning political show on network television. Allen's character, Mike Baxter, was an open and proud conservative and Trump supporter. The show frequently made jokes about Obamacare and Hillary Clinton's e-mails and even featured cameos by the cast of Duck Dynasty.

Though Last Man Standing was cancelled, reruns can still be seen in syndication on Freeform and CMT.
