Advanced Thanatology

Like many episodes before it, Supernatural Season 13 Episode 5 "Advanced Thanatology" opens with a couple of kids making poor choices by breaking into a haunted house with video cameras and stealing things.  Enter creepy ghost in a plague mask with a drill.  It's a good thing at least one of the kids got out of there, although taking the creepy plague mask is not going to turn out well for him. Sam brings Dean the case while Dean is making a PB&J for breakfast. ... more

Dean Meets the New Death

Dean is in a funk on Supernatural. Ever since Cas and Mary died (or so he believes), Dean has lost all faith in himself. Luckily things are starting to change for the better in this episode.First Dean meets an old friend with a new job, and the result is a very cool expansion of the show's mythology as we learn a little bit more about Death and the Reapers. Billie, who was once one of Dean'... more

Supernatural is getting back to basics in the fifth episode of season 13, "Advanced Thanatology." Sam and Dean investigate a case on their own, without Jack, but that doesn't mean it's business as usual. In this clip, Sam suggests that the Winchesters visit a strip club, which is a very un-Sam thing to do. It turns out this isn't the only strange behavior Sam is exhibiting on this case as he's also offering Dean beers for breakfast and ordering chili fries. more

The Ruler of the Empty Needs to Be the Next 'Supernatural' Big Bad

Castiel is finally back on Supernatural ... sort of. "The Big Empty" made a big stride towards Castiel reuniting with Sam and Dean (and his foster son Jack) as Castiel was whisked away from the episode's namesake, the void where angels go when they die, to the real world. Castiel is alive and was "resurrected" in a similar field to Dean's grave from season 4. As exciting as it is to have Cas back, the more exciting development of "The Big Empty" was one of the new characters, the unname... more
