ABC’s “Bachelor in Paradise” season finale grew 20 percent to season-high ratings on Tuesday, but it still wasn’t nearly enough to come within spitting distance of NBC’s “America’s Got Talent.”

NBC won another primetime outright last night when its fall schedule as presented by “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” topped 10 p.m. in terms of the key demographic. A CBS rerun claimed the day part’s final hour in total viewers.

CBS, which was runner-up in primetime’s overall audience averages, settled for a fourth-place tie with Fox among adults 18-49.

NBC was first in ratings with a 1.5 rating/7 share in the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demographic and in total viewers with an average of 8.2 million, according to preliminary numbers. The two-hour “AGT” semifinals from 8-10 averaged a 1.9/8 and 10.6 million viewers. The broadcaster’s fall schedule presentation followed with a 0.8/3 and 3.5 million viewers.

ABC was second in ratings with a 1.0/4 and third in viewers with 3.7 million. The “Bachelor in Paradise” season finale from 8-10 posted a 1.2/5 and 4.5 million viewers. “Castaways” at 10 got a 0.5/2 and 2.2 million viewers.

Univision was third in ratings with a 0.7/3 but fifth in viewers with 1.8 million.
