Netflix Renews 'Jessica Jones' for Season 3

Alias Investigations will be back in business once again. Netflix has officially renewed Marvel's Jessica Jones for a third season. The superhero show stars Krysten Ritter as the powered titular heroine. Jessica Jones recently debuted its second  season on Netflix.

The renewal continues the ongoing stream of Marvel shows on Netflix. Luke Cage will be back for its second season on June 22 while the third season of Daredevil and the second seasons of Iron Fist and The Punisher are both in development. With all of those seasons, which will likely continue to be 13 episodes, plus The Defenders, Netflix will pass 150 total episodes of shows in this Marvel universe.

Jessica Jones ended with many of the characters on new journeys. Jessica decided to try having a normal life, settling down for a meal with Oscar (J.R. Ramirez) and his son. Carrie-Anne Moss' Jeri Hogarth decided to start her own law firm, employing Pryce Cheng (Terry Chen) and his newest employee, Malcolm (Eka Darville). And there was a strong implication that Jessica's sister Trish Walker (Rachael Taylor) may also be developing powers of her own.

With June's Luke Cage plus three other Marvel shows in the works, it may be a long time between seasons. The second season of Jessica Jones didn't come out until more than two years after the first.
