Netflix Fires Danny Masterson from 'The Ranch' Over Sexual Assault Allegations

Netflix is continuing to clean house among its TV shows. Danny Masterson, one of the stars of the Ashton Kutcher-led comedy The Ranch, has been fired from the show among renewed concerns over allegations of sexual abuse in the past.

Masterson was accused of rape in the early 2000s. The initial complaint came in 2004, but it never moved forward. In 2016, three more women accused the actor of sexual assault, though charges have not been filed.

But with all of the attention on sexual harassment and abuse charges against men, Netflix made the decision to part ways with the actor. The Ranch has already been renewed for a 20-eposiode third season, which will once again be split in half. Production on the first half is nearly done, and it is during that time that Masterson's character will be written out of the show.

Masterson has repeatedly denied the charges and released a statement, saying that "From day one, I have denied the outrageous allegations against me. I have never been charged with a crime, let alone convicted of one. In this country, you are presumed innocent until proven guilty. However, in the current political climate, it seems as if you are presumed guilty the moment you are accused. I understand and look forward to clearing my name once and for all."

The second half of The Ranch season 2, featuring Masterson, will be available on Friday, December 15.

If all networks would do some "looking in on" of employees, if someone doesn't step forward first that is, they would find someone that would fit right into all these resent and never ending allegations towards individuals of this and that. There be nothing on anymore... It's gotten so ridiculous, who do you trust anymore?

Such a bad move by Netflix. Masterson was the most entertaining character on there. I am certain he is innocent.
