As Claire Underwood said at the end of the season 5 finale of House of Cards, "My turn." Netflix has confirmed that the sixth season, which will be its, will return for an abbreviated run centered on Robin Wright's character.

Netflix's Chief Content Officer Ted Sarandos revealed that House of Cards season 6 will consist of eight episodes, with Wright as the lead. The first five seasons were all 13 episodes. Production on the final season will begin in early 2018.

The official confirmation comes after Netflix struggled to figure out how to handle House of Cards following the sexual abuse allegations against star Kevin Spacey. Following those revelations, it was quickly announced that season 6 would be the end of House of Cards, production was then shut down and Spacey was fired.

How do you think House of Cards will handle the absence of Frank Underwood? Will he be killed off, sent to prison or just ignored?
