'Mr. Robot' Announces Fall Premiere Date, Bobby Cannavale in New Series Regular Role
Mr. Robot fans will have to wait just a little bit longer for Elliot and the remaining members of the fsociety gang to return to their screens, but when they do they'll be joined by at least one new face.
USA Network announced today that season 3 of the series will premiere in October 2017, months past the mid-summer premieres of the first and second seasons. Production on the third season will begin this April in New York City, with series creator Sam Esmail returning to direct all 10 episodes.
The network also announced that Bobby Cannavale will be joining the cast in a new series regular role. Cannavale, known for his work on Boardwalk Empire and Vinyl, will play Irving, a laconic no-nonsense used car salesman. Given Mr. Robot's penchant for things that are not as they initially seem, it feels safe to assume that Irving's seemingly innocent car salesman gig might have more to it than meets the eye.
BD Wong's mysterious Dark Army Leader, Whiterose, will also return as a series regular after spending the first two seasons in a guest-starring role.
